There have been always cats in my life. From my earliest childhood a downy, clever, devoted, but independent creature was near me.

I grew up and my love of cats grew up together with me. I didn't have a cat for some time and I felt I was short of somethingЕ And one February day HE appeared - black, with white stomach and collar, in white shoes, bandy front legs, and above all - ЕEARS!!! And this treasure was bought almost for nothing in a pedestrian subway in Arbat. He so looked like a cat of Timophey from a child's fairy tale who was stealing sour cream and his name was beyond dispute. So we called him Timophey or Tisha for short.

Tisha had immediately become the equal member of our family: went by air and train with us, adored shrimps, cleaned window-glasses with his paws, clarified relationships with local cats in the Ukraine and was jealous of my husband :).

Then our daughter Galina was born and Timophey at first didn't understand why into the house, where he was the main favorite and in general even master suffering our neighbourhood, they brought this incomprehensible shouting roll. It was very strange for him why everybody makes a fuss of it and forgot about him, they only let him smell this "roll" and then they were following him not to let him get into the cot.

Some time passed, everybody became calm, got accustomed and everything became on their own place. Tisha joined Galina and became to sleep together with her in her cot and later when she grew up a little he let her do with him everything she liked.

Timophey had turned into a huge cat and when Galina tried to carry him anywhere enfolding his neck in her arms, his body was trailed along the floor. :)

Tisha was a large, long-bodied and enormous cat and he didn't look like other street-cats that's why in books we began looking for a breed he resembled.
So in one book we found out about new breed - Norwegian forest cat. Certainly he didn't belong to this breed but he resembled it very much!

Later an accident had happened and we lost our favorite - he died. It was very harmful and we decided not to acquire a cat ever because no one cat could substitute our loved and clever Tisha. Some time passed and we realized that no one had not to substitute him and we always would remember him. But it was too empty in our house without downy and caudate creature.

And we were absolutely sure we would take a kitten of Norwegian forest cat breed only!

And in June, 2000 my greatest dream came true and I managed to bring two "Norwegians" from Norway! They are Julianne and Tarjei. You can see them on the page "Cats". They are worth of being seen! :)
